Such a great pet rescue!! The place is clearly well-run and it feels clean, bright, and inviting. All the cats we visited with were incredibly sweet and it was SO hard to make a decision. But we did and he has not stopped purring since we got home! So happy we decided to choose this foundation to find our second kitty through 😊 …

I adopted my second kitty (Ellie) here early in 2020. She was a scared single kitten and has grown up to be a wonderful girl. The staff was very helpful in guiding me on how to properly introduce her to my resident cat who had been an "only child" for 10 years. I highly recommend them for your next pet adoption!

This adoption center really cares about the cats they house. The application, which is a prerequisite to scheduling a visit, assesses your qualifications for cat ownership. It’s comforting to know that these animals are only getting adopted out to good homes. Their description of personalities for each cat is spot on too! The facility is wonderful. I think this is a great place for cats to live while they wait to get adopted. Please take the time and apply, it’s worth it. All the cats are very friendly and well behaved. This is also one of the most affordable places to adopt. Keep up the great work!

A few years ago we decided it we were ready to be dog-parents. Neither my husband, nor I had ever had a dog, so we did a lot of research and were recommended by friends to check out the Lange Foundation. We read the dog bios on their website and picked out a few that we wanted to meet. When we arrived, the first few dogs on our list already had applications. But they had one new dog who had been surrendered to a city shelter that they had quickly scooped up, had her neutered, vaccinated and ready to meet her forever family. As soon as we laid eyes on her, we knew this was our baby! After a thorough intake of information, they scheduled a home visit to make sure our home was safe & dog-friendly. We appreciate the care the Lange Foundation takes to ensure their dogs are well taken care of and are going to the right loving home before finalizing the adoption. Turnip has been an endless source of joy in our lives and we are grateful to the Lange Foundation for bringing us together!

We adopted our chihuahua mix from Lange four years ago (Moana, formerly known as Cookie). We greatly enjoyed all of the staff members and volunteers that we worked with, especially Elena! They loved our pup before we adopted her. She’s a wonderful and adorable dog, and a very important part of our family. Thank you Lange! (And thank you Elena for giving her big brother dog a present when we adopted her!). Also Lange works with our family vet (West LA Veterinary Group) so we know our pup had top quality healthcare at Lange as well!

I adopted a Maltese, Hank, from the Lange Foundation ten years ago. Hank was found wandering the streets of east L.A. He died seven months ago at the age of seventeen. Over the course of Hank's life with me, I kept in touch with the Foundation regarding Hank's new life. God bless the Lange Foundation for rescuing Hank, and in turn, me.

The Lange Foundation is hands down the best animal rescue in Los Angeles. They rescue animals from the shelters, many of whom would might be overlooked because of medical problems or age. They provide medical care and love, transforming animals into suitable and amazing pets up for adoption. They not only take in the old and sick, they also have lots of healthy cats, dogs, puppies and kittens! I personally have two cats I adopted from Lange Foundation. Trouble was one day old when I fostered him and his brothers for the rescue. He is absolutely the love of my life. My other cat Dahlia is as also a foster failure. She came to Lange with the cutest babies. I raised them until they were old enough to be adopted (I also kept one of the kittens hehe). Anyway,, Lange Foundation has the highest standards when it comes to animal care and adoption. The staff are awesome and super knowledgeable. If it seems like they are tough on the adoption process, it is only because they want to place the animals in great homes. Lately they’ve been doing foster to adopt adoptions so you can “try out” the animal to make sure it works well with the dynamics of your home. There are so many great cats and dogs (and kittens and puppies) there now looking for a forever home. If you’re looking for a forever fuzzy friend, definitely check out the Lange Foundation!!! Sorry this was so long, it’s just that I can’t say enough about Lange Foundation. I’m attaching pics of my Lange babies. ❤️ no really, check them out!!! :)
